It's all Greek to Me

I don't very often direct folk to posts from my own family members. I'm not sure why that is since I find them all interesting. But then I would, wouldn't I.

The other day GB commented on he and I learning the Greek alphabet when we were very young. Then on Sunday my son-in-law Mark wrote a post that I think many of my readers will enjoy (especially those who visit my Words blog) - It's all Greek to Me.

  1. That was an interesting post. I always wondered why Greek was selected as the most difficult to understand - evidently much of the world disagrees.

I also appreciated the Greek alphabet - I'm constantly doing crossword puzzles that call for one or another of them, so the reminder will help me!

  2. In high school, I had a choice:

    Typing class, or Koine Greek.

I took the language class with Father Barry. At 36, the only thing I can say in Koine Greek is "Christos!" (product of Catholic High School). And, I only type with four fingers and two thumbs. :) But I type pretty fast!
